The mountains are awesome!!

So it turns out I went to the Montserrat mountains today… wait im getting ahead of myself, we actually went Cavas tasting in the morning at Cavas Codorniu, then went to the mountain.

Wait even still im still ahead of myself I thankfully got the curate to sign up for this event on Monday when it released even though I was certainly nervous to make it to the top of a mountain, but I did it anyway and it was an amazing choice!

This morning was cold and dark but I made it to our usual meeting point next to the 365 and once I got there I for once was approached by a student and had a casual conversation I’ll say that continued throughout the day and I loved it!! I guess they realized I’m pretty much a normal person other than not being able to see.

The Cavas tasting was great, we got there and were shown both the history of the location and the drink was historically made before going into a little bit of detail on how they are made in the modern age with machinery. Then we got on this crazy old train style vehicle! And honestly that was quite cool, even though it felt like it was made a long time ago, never the less things went well, we saw different areas of the production process and then had a few samples, I got a few pictures maybe I’ll post them in the future.
This is certainly the point at which I felt grateful that I actually had someone help me during the trip as a student in my class, Meah, was certainly amazing at guiding, both for me not to get lost from the group and to not fall over and probably die on the future mountain climb, more on that later.

After the Cavas tasting we went to the mountain and boy was it worth it!! Getting there we had lunch and began a tour, now climbing itself isn’t difficult, but climbing when the ground feels like the rocks are going to move from under your feet and having little random holes in the ground can make a difference! Thankfully I had quite amazing help from Meah and successfully made it up the mountain.
The views off of the mountain are amazing even being visually impaired you can very much tell the grandness of it all! We even saw a goat that was just hanging out on rock pretty much above our heads.
Honest the mountain was the best part of the trip and the weather made it all amazing, the Sunday was not burning us Alvie and the temperature was pretty decent to be climbing.

Anyway I think thats all for now, gotta say I’m quote happy I got a chance and chose to go to this trip!!!

Sidenote: nothing else too interesting happened this week, oh wait thats actually false!!
On the way back from the mountain we had to be dropped off at a different stop than expected plaza Cataluña to be exact! And well for the first time I learned how to transfer from one metro to another it went mostly successfully although in the process of the transfer to my usual L4 metro I almost went the oposite direction, thankfully somehow there was another student who pointed me in the right direction and well clearly I’m writing this post so I made it home successfully!!!
