Academics
I can’t believe it’s November now, Its certainly been a good while since I’ve posted.
Academically I’m doing alright I’ve so far passed all of my midterm assessments at least to my knowledge.
I’ve unfortunately started working on my final projects for 4 of my classes which consist of 4 projects and 3 essays.
It turns out at the beginning of the year I misheard how many words one of my essays had to be, which I though was 8,000 words but turns out is actually way less at 2,500 to 3,000 words which is way more accomplishable in Spanish!!
he rest of the essays are pretty much the same length so I think I’ll have to write about 15 pages overall, still not idea, but better than a single essay of the same length.
Other than this, there isn’t mush else to say about my studies in terms of credits I have to take back to the US
Certification updates
- I’m still working toward getting my CCNA and so far this is going quite well, at least in terms of me still having to take normal academic courses.
- I’ve made it through about 60% of my training video content
- I’ve made it through a few introductory labs into Cisco equipment and configuration
- I would love to take the time to take a practice test to gage my knowledge now then compare it to fully completing the video course.
The Goal is to still complete the course by the end of the semester and hopefully take the certification exam in the spring.
I’m still in search of a full time position and need to look more intently at possible opportunities.
What’s next
As of the time of this writing, I’m unfortunately a little stuffy! but its certainly nothing I can’t handle… so on Saturday the 11 I’ll be going to a volcano / yogurt factory which I’m quite excited about!! I think till be fun and of course I’ll get to see a bit more of an unfamiliar area!!
