turns out I woke up feeling somewhat decent especially after having had a terrible runny nose the day before, so I was quite happy to be able to go this day trip. I start with saying that the volcano was not an active one and in fact hadn’t been active for about 22 million years…
I just love how we get told to arrive by 8:30 and pretty much everyone did, only to basically find out that we wouldn’t be leaving for another 20 minutes. which was fine and all if I could have made better conversation, unforutnaltey my voice wasn’t feeling the greatest, so me speaking didn’t feel right. (I thankfully warmed up the by the end of the trip)
The bus ride wasn’t too eventful, but we certainly made it to the yogurt factory were we are both able to see the process of making the yogurt and got a chance to sample a few products they made there was well.
I gotta say the best part of this factory was spending time with the cows, I finally got to pet a baby cow and well normal cows, in fact one of the cows came right up to me from the start so that was fun!
The yogurt itself was pretty good, but I decided to buy one of their jams as I’ve heard that they were pretty good as well, and well they were fight, I got a fig jam which was quite delicious based on the little I had last night.
volcanos
we ended the factory tour and headed off to tour a city that was I believe formed after the eruption of a volcano 22 million years ago, and I think the best part o this was just getting to spend time in nature for a little while, most of what we learned here related to the formation of rocks and other characteristics that they have after the eruption of a volcano.
We did however learn that our tour guide was a researcher in dinosaur fossils and had published a paper about a species that was located I believe here in Barcelona.
There isn’t too much to say about this tour however as I wish we had done a little more walking but in the end still worth it!!
